Seoul, March 29th, 2010<\/strong>
\nhynix Semiconductor Inc. (\u2018hynix\u2019 or \u2018the Company\u2019) today announced that Oh Chul Kwon has been appointed as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Company.<\/p>\n

Kwon declared the corporate slogan, \u2018Good Memory, Good Company\u2019, at the inauguration ceremony for the sustainable presence of the Company. \u201cIt is my great honor to take an important role in this winning company at the stage of challenging for the promising future after overcoming such a severe industry downturn. I will fully devote myself in order to provide utmost satisfaction and value to every interested party of the Company.\u201d said Kwon at the ceremony.<\/p>\n

Along with the slogan, he emphasized four core management missions as; focusing on core business, strengthening future competency, building up internal corporate competency and enhancing human-oriented corporate culture.<\/p>\n

Kwon joined Hyundai Electronics, the predecessor of hynix Semiconductor and a former affiliate of Hyundai Group, in 1984 and has been with the company ever since. In March of 2006, he began to serve as a standing director. Kwon has steadily built his reputation as a proven leader in both finance and strategy through his roles in global marketing, strategic and financial planning, international trade affairs, strategic alliance and M&A. He has served in number of key positions including Vice President of Financial Planning, Director of Strategic Planning as well as Director of Corporate Relations.<\/p>\n

Jong Kap Kim, the former chairman and CEO of hynix, has been elected to the chairman of the board of directors as of March 26th. He will serve the Company in his office for three years as a standing director.<\/p>\n
