hynix appoints its new CEO

Hynix’s board accepted CEO C.S. Park’s resignation, appointed COO Sang Park as new President and CEO, elected Y.W. Jun as board chairman, and created a unit to divest non-memory business led by former CEO C.S. Park.

Today, hynix Semiconductor Inc., ( hynix, www.hynix.com ) announced that its Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of Dr. C.S. Park as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer(CEO).

At the same time, the board has announced the appointment of Mr. Sang Park, the current Chief Operating Officer as the new President and CEO. In addition, Dr. Y.W. Jun, the current outside director has been elected as the new Chairman of the board.

Meanwhile, hynix board has established a new office for a divesture of non-memory business. The office will be spearheaded by the company’s former CEO, Dr. C.S. Park.
