Personal information collection and usage agreement

SK hynix collects your email address when you sign up for our newsletter subscription service in the SK hynix Global Newsroom. With your consent, we use that email address to send you these newsletters.
We may disclose your email address to vendors who assist us with the collection of email addresses and/or the transmission of our newsletters. This may involve transferring your data from your country of residence. If so, we put measures in place requiring us and our vendors to keep your information safe and secure. We identify below the vendors who may receive your data and the terms under which we provide them with your data.
The Rocket Science Group LLC, dba Mailchimp. We provide this vendor with your email address to facilitate its transmission of our newsletter to you and to improve its service. As part of this process, you data may be transferred to this vendor at the time of service over the internet to multiple jurisdictions, including the U.S. The vendor may retain your data until the termination or expiration of our agreement with it. Questions about the vendor’s practices can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will disclose your email address for other purposes only with your consent or pursuant to applicable law. We do not sell information to third parties. We also do not permit other parties to collect information about your online activities over time or across different web sites when you use our newsletter subscription service.
You can withdraw your consent at any time. In addition, you may be entitled, in accordance with applicable law, to object to or request the restriction of the processing of your email address, and to request access to, rectification, erasure, and portability of your email address; you also may request more information about our information practices. Requests should be submitted in writing as set out below. If you become aware of changes or inaccuracies in your email address, you should inform us of such
changes so that the information may be updated or corrected. Once we receive your request, we will verify it by asking for the email address we have on file. You may be entitled, in accordance with applicable law, to submit a request through an authorized agent. To designate an authorized agent to exercise your rights and choices on your behalf, please instruct the agent to submit the request along with proof that you have given the authorized agent permission to submit the request or power of attorney.
We keep your information for as long as you are signed up to our newsletter subscription service.
If you are no longer subscribed to the service, we will dispose of your information using technical means consistent with our internal policies and applicable laws.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights and choices.
We currently do not take action in response to “do not track” signals, because it is not always clear whether users intend for these signals to be transmitted, or whether they even are aware of them.
We do not knowingly collect or sell any information from children, as defined by applicable law, without parental consent or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.
We will use the reasonable physical, technical, and managerial safeguards to protect your information including the following:
· Regular training for the employees’ processing of personal information;
· Management of authorization with respect to access to the personal information processing system;
· Encryption of personal information;
· Installation and management of security programs to protect users and storage systems;
· Controlling access to the information management system and information storage system through technical and physical safeguards.
If you are a resident in the EU, you may also raise queries with your local data protection authority.
