hynix Semiconductor Inc.(hynix, www.hynix.com) today launched its new corporate identity (CI) following its decision to change its name from Hyundai Electronics to hynix at the annual general meeting held last month. The name change and fresh corporate identity are a further signal that the company is on track with the restructuring program announced by its Chairman and CEO, Dr Chong Sup Park in January to disaffiliate from the Hyundai group and reposition itself as one of the world’s independent leading semiconductor manufacturers. The new CI is expressed curved lines (see enclosed artwork), implying a friendly image based on humanism, but with a technology expertise. The uniformed pattern of the letters provides a dynamic touch, suggesting growth and understated achievement. The vibrant orange color is intended to give an image of a warm, but young and fresh orientation towards customer relationships. “The new company name and CI will be catalysts for the hynix Semiconductor to project the image of a modern, youthful leading player in the global semiconductor market,” said Mr Chan Jong Park, Director of Corporate Communication, hynix Semiconductor Inc. “We are excited to introduce them and hope they encounter ready acceptance from our clients and staff.” About hynix Semiconductor Inc. hynix Semiconductor Inc.(hynix) of Ichon, Korea, is an industry leader in the development, sales, marketing and distribution of high-quality semiconductors (including DRAM, SRAM, Flash memory and system IC devices), telecommunications and liquid crystal displays.
